KOPS ll hydropower plant

We milled several vertical guide rails for the barrier gates in a new hydropower plant. The guide rails deflect all forces acting on the gates into the surrounding concrete structure when the gates hold the water back. The approx. 200 mm-wide rails were each milled over a length of approx. 7,500 mm. Pairs of parallel rails spaced at approx. 4,000 mm were cut into one level. The duplex steel used here was particularly wear-resistant and challenging to cut.
